Weekend Announcements

Feb. 15 &16, 2020

  1. Lent is right around the corner. Check out the Faith Formation board in the East vestibule, and the website to sign up for Daily Reflections during Lent from Formed, Bishop Barron or Dynamic Catholic.
  2. Theology on Tap is this Wednesday, February 19th at the Dock upper room, Father Warren Dungan from Kamsack Saskatchewan will present on the topic of Escapism, all young adults between 18 and 40 are welcome to attend.
  3. St. Augustine’s will host its Parish Mission at 7:00 PM in the Church on March 16, 17 and 18. Our speaker is Fr. Patrick Neufeld who will speak on Satan and the Temptation of Christ in the Desert.
  4. The Faith Formation Office is running a new study program for Lent called ‘Forgiven: The Transforming Power of Confession’. It will be held after the Tuesday evening Masses beginning March 3. The program is five weeks. Please register by February 29th.
  5. St. Augustine’s Book Club will begin again on Thursday, February 27 at 7:30 PM, for a four-week study on Fr. Jacques Phillipe’s Thirsting for Prayer. We are welcoming new members. Please contact the Faith Formation Office to register.

If you are a baptized Catholic and have not received the Sacraments of Reconciliation & Holy Eucharist and want to, there is an opportunity for you to prepare to receive these sacraments.

Or…. perhaps you have not been Confirmed and now desire to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation.

Faith Formation classes for adults are available for those interested in receiving these Sacraments.
